Operation Christmas Child
Since 1993, more than 168 million boys and girls in over 160 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Andres Almeida realized how much God loved him when he received an Operation Christmas Child gift-filled shoebox in Ecuador when he was 10. Today, Andres is the senior pastor of a church and works to distribute shoebox gifts to children in need throughout South America.
David became a Christian 10 years ago soon after he received a gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoebox in Pifo, Ecuador, and graduated from the first Greatest Journey class ever taught. Recently, he helped hand out Bibles to students graduating from the 10th anniversary Greatest Journey class in Pifo.
The arrival of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes in Togo, Africa, helped a local pastor lead a community away from spirit worship to following the Lord Jesus Christ. A Bible study began for kids through The Greatest Journey, our discipleship program, then resulted in a church being planted in the area.
