Helping Vietnam Find Peace After Typhoon Yagi
When Typhoon Yagi swept through multiple provinces in Vietnam, the damage caused widespread destruction from collapsed buildings, massive landslides and intense flooding that took the lives of hundreds of Vietnamese people. Samaritans Purse quickly came in to bring clean water, food and medical supplies to the communities who suffered a direct hit from Typhoon Yagi, including many rural area who originally were unable to access the distribution centers in Yen Bai. With many families suffering brutal losses caused by Typhoon Yagi, our teams have been able to bring enough relief so the people of Yen Bai can recover after this natural disaster.
Sudanese Families Find God’s Love Through A Field Hospital
Amid the ongoing Sudan conflict, Samaritan’s Purse has an emergency field hospital to tend to the internally displaced families fleeing this terrible conflict. Each day, our DART members are caring for over 100 patients to help local hospitals meet this unprecedented need. At the same time, our labor and delivery ward ensures the safety of newborns every day. As many of these internally displaced persons have seen so much evil since the start of this conflict, Samaritan’s Purse is committed to being a beacon of God’s love as we meet every person’s medical and spiritual needs. Kentucky Flood Survivors Find The Greatest Blessing After The Storm
Pikeville, Kentucky, was forever changed when devastating floods rushed into their community, resulting in one of the worst floods in their county’s history. Pam Mullins was one of the many homeowners from Pikeville who suffered severe flood damage to her family’s home. However, her recent hip replacement surgery prevented her from repairing her house. When the volunteers of Samaritan’s Purse came into Pikeville, they helped restore Pam’s home while bringing her the emotional and spiritual support she needed to feel God’s love as she rebuilds her life.
A New Chapter Begins For A Family After Losing Their Home
The Avila family had lived in the small Texas city of Livingston for over 12 years when a flash flood would rush in and destroy the house that they just paid off. Despite their terrible loss, the family’s faith in God never flinched. This trust in God was rewarded when Samaritan’s Purse offered to help demolish the irreparable house and build a new home to help the Avila family as they continue serving God in their community.
