Rebuilding Lives

Since Hurricane Harvey dumped more than 50 inches of rain on Houston in August 2017, Samaritan's Purse has helped over 3,000 families recover from the storm, including Betty Malonson whose house was destroyed by flood waters. But Betty is now back in her home, thanks to our volunteers who rebuilt it in Jesus' Name.

A Great Way to Serve

Many Samaritan's Purse volunteers serve time and again, going on multiple deployments across the country to bring relief in Jesus' Name to people affected by natural disasters, including flood victims in Michigan. Would you consider volunteering with us to bring, not only relief, but the hope of the Gospel to hurting people across the U.S.?

A Venezuelan Migrant's Story

Samaritan's Purse is providing hot meals and temporary shelter in Colombia for thousands of Venezuelan migrants who are fleeing their economically devastated country. Alcides is among them; he's a construction worker who left his homeland when his monthly pay wasn't enough to put food on his family's table. Please continue to pray for Venezuelans and for our staff working in shelters in Colombia.

Detroit: Responding After the Floods

Samaritan's Purse responded in Detroit after torrential rainstorms pounded neighborhoods, submerging roads, flooding basements, and pushing some people beyond the breaking point. Please pray for homeowners and for our volunteers as they mud-out houses, treat them for mold, and share the hope of the Gospel with those affected by the devastation.

The Other Side of the Story

Samaritan's Purse responded to homeowners affected by floods in eastern Nebraska, including Ron and Charlotte Young who have been involved with Operation Christmas Child for nearly 20 years. The Youngs experienced "the other side of the story" when our volunteers arrived to remove debris, mud-out their house, and let them know that God had not forgotten them.

Volunteers Serving in Flooded Michigan

Samaritan's Purse Disaster Relief volunteers are serving Michigan homeowners where torrential rain left communities underwater. Our teams are removing ruined walls and flooring and salvaging valuables in homes throughout Detroit's metropolitan area.

Filling the Gap after Cyclone Idai

After Cyclone Idai severely damaged the local hospital in Buzi, Mozambique, Samaritan's Purse erected an Emergency Field Hospital in the area to fill the gap for medical care. Please pray for our staff as they treat patients and hold out the hope of the Gospel in Jesus' Name.

Off the Beaten Path

Samaritan's Purse is providing emergency relief in the form of tarps, water filtration kits, mosquito nets, and other supplies to some of the hardest hit and most remote areas of Mozambique in the wake of Cyclone Idai that destroyed thousands of homes. Please pray for the people of Mozambique and for our staff as they serve in Jesus' Name.

Being the Hands and Feet of God

Samaritan’s Purse erected an Emergency Field Hospital in Buzi, Mozambique, in the wake of Cyclone Idai that destroyed 90 percent of the village. Please pray for those who are sick or injured, and for our medical staff as they seek to be the hands and feet of God to those who are hurting.
