A New Peace
Army Staff Sergeant John Hosea was severely wounded in Afghanistan and his combat-related injuries threatened to destroy his marriage. His wife, Sara, reached out to Operation Heal Our Patriots for help. She applied to the program, and they were accepted to go to Samaritan Lodge Alaska for a week of marriage enrichment. There, God brought a new peace to their lives and their marriage.

My Life Is a Gift
At age 15, Sheena Basemera traveled from Uganda to the United States to receive life-saving heart surgery arranged by Samaritan’s Purse. Several years later she received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through a follow-up event of our Children’s Heart Project. She now works in Uganda as Samaritan’s Purse project officer for the Children’s Heart Project there and recently returned to the United States as a translator, interpreting for a critically ill child in our program.
