Emelissa grew up in the Central American nation of Honduras that was devastated by a hurricane in 1998. A year later, however, she received hope in the form of an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift. Among all the special treasures inside it, she especially appreciated the letter and photo it contained. This planted a seed in her heart that led her to later accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
