At age 15, Sheena Basemera traveled from Uganda to the United States to receive life-saving heart surgery arranged by Samaritan's Purse. Several years later she received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through a follow-up event of our Children's Heart Project. She now works in Uganda as Samaritan's Purse project officer for the Children's Heart Project there and recently returned to the United States as a translator, interpreting for a critically ill child in our program.
