Krystal Cortez grew up in a Christian home in Nicaragua. At the age of 11, she rejoiced to receive a gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoebox. Later as an adult, when she volunteered at a processing center, she realized, "The shoebox represented his love and his faithfulness in my life."
