After Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica, bringing 185 mph winds and devastating rain in its path, many communities were left in ruin. Once the storm had passed, Samaritan's Purse was ready to assist the people of Jamaica in Jesus' Name. Our Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DART) members have brought everything from helicopter loads of kitchen and hygiene kits, a Tier 2 Emergency Field Hospital, and clean water stations capable of keeping thousands of people hydrated each day to communities across the Jamaican island.
