When an EF3 tornado hit McNairy County, Tennessee, Willie Barnes and his wife narrowly survived by taking shelter inside the house they had lived in for 38 years as the tornado tore apart their roof. The Barnes family was just one of the over 100 houses damaged by the storm. Thankfully, Samaritan's Purse dispatched a full crew of disaster relief volunteers to help homeowners clean up the debris while spiritually comforting each person affected by the tornado, including the Barnes family, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
