Elena was born into an abusive home in the former Soviet Union. By the age of 8, she lived in an orphanage and felt very unloved. But there she received a shoebox gift and The Greatest Gift Gospel booklet. "Because of that shoebox, I got adopted not only into my earthly family but into my heavenly family," she said.
