A four year-old girl’s life was saved from a tornado when Ruth Bennett used her body as a shield. Ruth's family trusts that what happened next was part of God's plan. Despite the bitter sweet outcome, Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Relief volunteers in Louisville, Mississippi were able to lend a helping hand to her family during this difficult time.

Thousands of homes in Saipan and Tinian were ripped apart by Super Typhoon Yutu when it slammed into the two Pacific islands, leaving families without basic necessities like shelter, food, and clean water. Local Christians prayed to God for relief. Samaritan's Purse responded by airlifting 80 tons of critical supplies, letting the hurting people there know that God loved them and had not forgotten them.
